ABOUT TONGA - PERMITS
VISITORS:
Bona-fide tourists and business persons may enter Tonga for a period not exceeding 30 days providing that the visitor holds a valid passport, an onward air or sea ticket. If visitors wish to extend their stay, permission must be requested from the Principle Immigration Officer.
Visas may be required for some nationalities. International Departure tax is T$20.00.

BUSINESS TRADING LICENCES:
To operate a business in Tonga, a Trading Licence is required. The Ministry of Labour, Commerce & Industries has the mandate to issue the Licences. Upon submission of the application form, the Trading officer screens the application to determine eligibility. Once the Licence is approved, a small fee is levied and trade may take place.
